How to find your focus in the creative industries

Aum came into our programme as a filmmaker and event producer, doing a bit of everything, and not sure which of it to back. His mentor Nikolaj, founder and CEO of OkayStudio, didn't try to steer him towards one path. He helped Aum figure out which of the things he was already doing he actually cared about most.

That process of getting Aum to interrogate his own ambitions and look at what he wanted, what he was good at, what was worth his time worked because Nikolaj made clear from the start that Aum had every right to be in the room. Once Aum understood this then it become clearer.

The two still work together, and work on filmmaking projects together. Aum is a co-founder is Amenno Cinema, producing films and hosting screenings.
