Sony Positive Influence
We are back for the EIGHTH cohort of Sony Positive Influence, our six month programme run in partnership with Sony.
Positive Influence gives you the chance to be mentored by a creative professional from one of five amazing Sony brands.
Who is this programme for?
Sony Positive Influence is perfect for those interested in the professional worlds of music, gaming, film or technology.
You can be at any stage of your career but you must have an interest in getting an insight into the working world of Sony, from marketing and production to designing and developing.
Who will my mentor be?
All mentors on this programme will be employees of Sony from a wide range of creative & professional backgrounds.
They will be a professional from one of the following branches of Sony:

Sony Music Entertainment fuel the creative journey. They’ve played a pioneering role in music history, from the first-ever music label to the invention of the flat disc record. They’ve nurtured some of music’s most iconic artists and produced some of the most influential recordings of all time.
Mentors from this area will be able to support with: A look into the behind-the-scenes work of the music industry, including marketing, A&R and recording.

Sony Music Publishing celebrates the power of songwriting to connect cultures and bring people together. Their company ethos is to put songwriters at the forefront, honouring their vision, artistry and goals. They lift up their songwriters by supporting their careers, amplifying opportunities, fostering collaboration and defending their rights.
Mentors from this area will be able to support with:
An insight into the representation of composers, songwriters, lyricists, and the inner workings of the music industry.

Sony Pictures make movies, television, music and games that engage billions of people, connecting creators and audiences around the globe.
Mentors from this area will be able to support with: Understanding of how things run behind the scenes in the world of entertainment, including insights into film sales, HR, IT, marketing, social media and finance. You will be matched with someone who compliments your skills and ambitions. They may not always have the same job you wish to apply to but they will have the knowledge and expertise to help support you over the 6-month programme.

This area handles the research and development, production, and sales of hardware and software for the PlayStation video game systems.
Mentors from this area will be able to support with: Insights into games testing, marketing, design and quality assurance within the world of PlayStation.

To take part in Positive Influence you must:
✅ Be between 18-25 years old
✅ Live in the UK
✅ Meet our eligibility criteria
