Breaking the class ceiling in the UK creative industries.

Careers in the creative industries should be open to everyone

We support 16-25 year olds from lower socioeconomic backgrounds to help them develop their creative careers through mentoring, education, and opportunities.

Be part of the solution

We facilitate change in creative organisations.

Our mentoring programmes train staff in creative companies to be inclusive mentors and leaders. We match these mentors with a young person from our community to support on the next steps of their creative journey.

This gives employers and employees the chance to support access into the industry today, whilst learning how to lead and manage in an inclusive way.

  • What sets this programme apart are the mentees. They truly are the future of the creative industry and we need to do our part to guide and coach them to help boost their confidence and further drive their goals and passion for the industry.

    Lisa Lugo, Livenation

  • It helped me grow connections in sectors I wasn’t very familiarised with. Learning from a mentor whose career path was completely different to mine made me understand and identify patterns and skills to develop.

  • This opened my mind to different ways of thinking regarding coaching. It was great to work with a younger generation, and experiencing what the knock on effect of privilege actually means.

    Nick Earp, Nice & Serious

  • I felt it was very responsive to the mentee’s individual needs with lots of flexibility. I have achieved and learnt more than I expected, and I feel confident reflecting on what I have learnt and the new connections I have made.

    Henny Shaw, Mentee

  • The way the Creative Mentor Network prepared us for working with our mentees was incredible. I was hoping to use my experience to help my mentee but hadn't anticipated how much the experience would allow me to grow and develop.

Lauren Ince, The Creative Engagement Group

  • This mentorship scheme has reinvigorated my creative output. I feel like at the end of this process I'm at a much better place, professionally and mentally, to pursue my goals as an illustrator.

    Jodie Winter, Mentee

  • I thought the training was excellent. Giving a framework to approach mentoring but allowing enough flexibility for your own style and voice to come through.

    Tom Elias, Droga5

  • My mentor was excellent in helping me develop my skills. He helped me figure out which department I wanted to work in and gave me the confidence to apply for roles in the industry. I am very excited to pursue a career in the industry, and I have a great deal of appreciation for everything Fin has done for me.
